Dr Lachlan Hocking – Associate Osteopath
Lachlan graduated from RMIT University in Melbourne with a double degree (Bachelor of health science/Bachelor of applied science, Osteopathy). and has been working with us at Move since.
His passion for Osteopathy and well-being began from being involved in playing and coaching sport throughout his childhood to early twenties. Lachlan has an interest in treating patients with chronic pain and disability. He is very determined to get the best results and health outcomes in all of his patients.
Lachlan uses techniques focused on reducing muscle and joint tension, improving pain and quality of life. He also is focused on reducing stress and strain patterns within the musculoskeletal system. He is skilled at indirect treatment techniques if you require a treatment that is more gentle and relaxing, An indirect approach is a great approach for women during pregnancy.
Lachlan has a certificate in level 1 & 2 dry needling which is a great addition to the Osteopathic treatment. Lachlan had some experience treating in hospitals throughout India in his time at University. This has given him a stronger sense of the importance that holistic health care holds in maintaining quality of life.
Outside of work Lachlan enjoys sport and catching up with friends and family. In particular Lachlan enjoys AFL, soccer and rugby. He also loves the beach and has grown up participating in surf lifesaving courses around Victoria. When the weather is right you will most likely find Lachlan in the surf. He has moved from Melbourne for a change of scenery and some warmer weather, and looks forward to getting to know the South East Queensland area better.
Lachlan has a strong belief in the power of positive experiences and environments. He strives to make the patients experience at Move Osteopathy as comfortable and welcoming as possible whilst also gaining maximal health benefits.
