Dr Ashleigh Stonehouse

Hi I’m Ashleigh, Ash for short but tall in stature.

I enjoyed majority of my youth and young adult life as a basketball athlete going on to represent Australia until long lasting knee injuries developed forcing a pivot in life. I went on to qualify as a Registered Nurse working at the Alfred Hospital and various Aged Care facilities where I began my coffee journey slowly progressing my way through to Long Blacks- I am indeed a coffee snob. If you can guess yes, I am originally from Melbourne.

I couldn’t get enough of study, so I have also had background experience as qualified personal trainer and massage therapist. I have been fortunate to have had experience learning from incredible mentors in the various medical/ health care roles over the past 12 years as well as firsthand experience as an elite athlete.

A few things I enjoy is getting outdoors going for hikes and bike rides, watching anything sport particularly basketball and AFL – bear with me as I am still needing to learn the rules of NRL and Origin. I spend a lot of my time catching up for a coffee with family and friends as well as walking my three Italian Cane Corso dogs.

My philosophy as a practitioner is to aid in the body’s natural healing abilities and to help guide the individual’s health journey that aligns with their goals. I have been fortunate to have been steered onto a path that has acknowledged my true passion for helping people.

Ash is starting with us very soon and you will be able to make booking to see her at both Alexandra Hill Clinic and James Street Clinic
