Glenda Walters – Registered Physiotherapist & Exercise Physiologist [BAppSc (Human Movement) (UQ) and Masters of Physio UQ]
Glenda is an experienced Physiotherapist and Accredited Exercise Physiologist and has worked in private practice for over 10 years. While Glenda has mainly worked in the Brisbane area, her career did take her to Mackay for a few years (where she gained valuable experience in treating the wide range of conditions that clients presented with). Glenda has also been fortunate to gain on-field experience with travelling with hockey, netball and gymnastics teams around Australia and New Zealand.
Glenda has experience working with clients from 6 months old to those in their 90’s. There is no age group that she is particularly fond of, rather she enjoys helping active clients to be the best that they can be – whatever their age.
Glenda participated in both artistic and rhythmic gymnastics when she was growing up and loves to work with all types of gymnasts, dancers, acrobats and aerialists (She secretly wants to run away and be a physio with Cirque du Soleil). When not in the clinic you can find Glenda flipping around a pole or hanging upside down in a lyra.
Movement is something that Glenda incorporates into everyday. Going beyond her university studies –Glenda’s training as a coach, Pilates instructor and a Yoga instructor means she is the best person to get you started on loving movement for yourself again.
