Dr Ellie Sweeney – Associate Osteopath

Ellie is an enthusiastic Osteopath with a strong interest in preventative and rehabilitate health care. Her passion for Osteopathy began with her own sporting injuries in rowing and hockey. She graduated from RMIT University with a Bachelor of Health Science/Bachelor of Applied Science (Osteopathy) and has also completed post-graduate qualifications in Dry Needling and Myofascial Cupping. Ellie is currently completing Clinical Pilates training to further enhance her rehabilitation skills.

Ellie has previously worked as an intern at an osteopathic clinic in Calgary, Canada. There she enjoyed treating patients with acute and chronic pain. She has previously worked as part of the medical team at the Australian University Games in the Gold Coast 2017 and 2018 treating athletes from Netball, Basketball and AFL. She enjoys promoting pain-free movement and empowering her patients to achieve their optimal health and potential.

Ellie focuses on finding and addressing the cause of pain by using a holistic approach to treatment. She uses a range of osteopathic techniques and tailors them to each individual while also prescribing specific exercises so the patient can be proactive in their own health care. Outside the treatment room, Ellie enjoys doing Pilates, relaxing at the beach, road trips and planning her next travel adventure. Ellie has moved up from Melbourne and would love suggestions on places to explore around Brisbane and the coast.

Dr Ellie Sweeney is available Monday, Tuesday, Thursday Friday and Saturday. She is at our both our New Farm (James Street) and City (Elizabeth Street) Clinics
