Belicia Ralph graduated from the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology with a double bachelor of Health Science and Applied Science (Osteopathy). Since graduating Belicia has also completed qualifications in Dry needling and balanced ligamentous tension.
Belicia grew up being involved in a great variety of sports. She had a particular interest in rhythmic gymnastics and rowing, which resulted in numerous injuries. Her passion for osteopathy started after having an injury that was treated by an Osteopath. This is what drove Belicia to want to learn about the human body and how Osteopathy can aid with an assortment of conditions.
Belicia enjoys treating a wide range of conditions and ages using a holistic approach. She has a special interest in treating patients with headaches, sport associated injuries, tendinopathies and shoulder pain. Belicia likes to use a variety of hands on techniques. These include high velocity low amplitude (HVLA) and articulation. She also likes to use more indirect techniques such as counterstain and balanced ligamentous tension (BLT). Belicia also believes strongly in working together with the patient and other health practitioners. She believes doing this can provide the individual with the best care and guidance to help achieve their goals. Belicia also likes to get individuals involved in their own health by providing stretches and exercises to do at home in-between visits to the clinic.
When Belicia isn’t working, she loves travelling overseas to explore different cultures and trying new foods. You will also find Belicia exploring new hikes, keeping fit in the gym. She also enjoys spending her spare time checking out one of the many animal sanctuaries around South East Queensland.
Dr Belicia Ralph – Associate Osteopath will be available Monday – Friday at our Brisbane City Clinic located at 199 Elizabeth Street
