Headaches and Migraines

Osteopathy, Acupuncture, Massage and exercise methods such as Pilates, may be effective for the treatment and management of headache and migraine. These therapies are often use to complement standard medical care and can often reduce the need for pain relieving medications. They can provide a reliable, long-term solution especially when used together.

With headache and migraine, Osteopaths, in particular, are trained to identify more serious and sinister causes of pain and to differentiate and diagnose the origin of the head pain. They will refer to other medical providers if they determine that the head pain requires further investigation. Osteopaths can refer for x-ray and MRI if required.
