Coconut Lemon Bliss Balls

Do you hit the wall mid afternoon and automatically reach for the sweet stuff? Having tasty, nutritious substitutes on hand can go a long way in avoiding food that is not doing you any favours. This nutritious Coconut Lemon Bliss Ball recipe is perfect for that 3pm slump. Make up a batch and have it on hand for when those sweet cravings hit. 


200g shredded coconut, processed to a fine flour

3/4 cup almonds, processed to a fine meal

1/3 cup melted coconut oil

1/3 cup honey finely grated zest of 1 lemon

1 teaspoon vanillla extract


Combine all ingredients in a large bowl to form a thick dough. Roll into balls to the desired size and refrigerate for at least half an hour before serving.
